Once a file or image has been uploaded to GCwiki, users can link to those files on their pages. Consult How do I upload a file or image to GCwiki? for instructions.

How do I link a file to my page?

Go to the GCwiki page that you wish to add a link to.

Click the Edit tab at the top of the page.

Place your cursor where you would like to insert the link to your page.

Copy and paste the following text:

[[Media: destination_file_name.xyz |Description of document that you are linking to]].

If you are creating a link to an image (such as a PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx), PDF (.pdf), or Word (.doc or .docx) file), enter Image instead of Media.

Edit the pasted text. Replace destination_file_name.xyz with your destination file name. Replace Description of document that you are linking to with a description of the file. The description will appear as hyperlinked text on the page once you save it.

To preview the page, click on Show preview at the bottom of the page.
