Are the GCTools accessible to employees with disabilities?

Public servants who make use of screen readers and other assistive devices are able to successfully use GCpedia, GCconnex, and GCcollab.

As administrators, the GCTools Team is making all possible efforts to ensure that the Tools are can be accessed and used by all users. 

The GCTools Team partnered with Statistics Canada to do accessibility testing on GCconnex. While GCconnex received a relatively high compliance score, Stats Can identified a number of areas that we can address to improve the accessibility of the site. With the help of Stats Can, our technical team implemented a number of key accessibility improvements during the Spring of 2015. 

As a contributor, you should ensure that the content you post to the GCTools is done in a manner that is as accessible as possible to all users. Be conscious of the fact that some specialized formatting or media types may significantly increase the risk of accessibility issues.
